Cindy, I am so sorry for your loss. Not only were we classmates but your wonderful mother was my first bus driver and she always kept on eye out for me with the older kids who loved to pick on us younger ones. She was a great lady and I am so sorry I couldn't come and pay my condolences in person. Please know that she is in a better place now and that my mother will take care of her and introduce her to God. My thoughts and prayers are with you today. Your friend and classmate Eddie Perez

I remember my grandmother to be the best example of the way to do things right. I remember her to be strong and tough as nails when facing adversity. She endured many things in her life, the loss of two children and many hardships that would have destroyed many other people. She always taught to look problems in the face and deal with them and that by doing so would teach you what you needed to grow. She was always kind and funny and loving and always made me feel like I was someone special. One of my favorite memories was of her taking me to the lake when I was about four or five. She had just gotten a new denture plate and it wasn't fitting correctly. She laughed at something I did and her teeth fell in the water. (I was unaware until that time that teeth were able to come out of ones head in such a way) I guess the look on my face was pretty humorous because that sent her into fits of laughter and it took her some time to recover. After I got over my initial shock she had me laughing just as hard. I was unable to visit her as often as I would like but she has always been a central figure in who I have become. Her strength and kindness and generosity are all qualities that live in her children. My father (her son) Jan is my hero and I see her in him always. He carries her goodness in him and is the best tribute to her life that I know. I love all of you and I am sorry I can't be there to say good-bye with you. Know you are all in my heart and my thoughts. Kathryn
