Her Legacy… Joanna Dolores Hamilton, 90, passed away April 21, 2024.  She was born on July 25, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph Kundrick and Stella (Lukryo) Kundrick. Joanna married the love of her life, Charles Dale Hamilton, on February 11, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. She was a dedicated wife and adored her family. Joanna was a caretaker at a group home and took wonderful care of those that were placed in her care. When she wasn’t working she was a homebody and enjoyed sewing, playing solitaire on her IPad and watching QVC. Joanna was very witty, spunky and could make everyone laugh. She was a wonderful cook and also had a sweet tooth. Joanna loved the LORD and had a very strong faith. Joanna was a joy to know and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Her Family… Joanna will be missed by her children, Linda (Craig) Wenzel, Cynthia (Steve) Telep; brother, Gerald (Jackie) Kundrick; grandchildren, Lauren (Carl), Brooke (Patrick), Bridgette (Caleb), Eric, Zach (Leslie), Adam; great grandchildren, Jack, Mia, Isla, Easton, Parker, Beckham, and Paxton. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dale Hamilton; parents, Joseph and Stella Kundrick; son, Charles Dale Hamilton Jr.; brothers, Joseph Kundrick, Albert Kundrick, Bernard Kundrick, Robert Kundrick, Alfie Kundrick; sisters, Shirley Holzimmer and Theresa Kundrick.

Her Farewell… Joanna’s family and friends will gather on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 3PM-8PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 11AM (10AM gathering), at St. Joseph Catholic Country Church, 6805 Mast Road, Dexter, Michigan. Father Brendan Walsh will serve as Presider. Memorial contributions are suggested to Michigan Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
