Her Legacy…Carol Burgess, age 76, passed away, November 10, 2019.  Carol was born April 3, 1943 in Cleveland, OH, to Willard and Colletta (Coll) Ballash.  She married the love of her life, David Burgess October 14, 1995 in Detroit, MI.  Carol was a member of St. Philip’s Lutheran Church in Detroit, where she was an active volunteer and committee chairperson.  She enjoyed golfing and bowling. Carol was also an accomplished equestrian, winning many awards.  Her greatest joy was her family and she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, step mother, grandmother and sister.

Her family…Carol will be missed by her husband, David; sons, David (Jill) Haas and Erik Haas; step children, Michelle (David) Meyer and Matthew Burgess; grandchildren, Eresa and Eden Haas; step grandchildren, McKenzie Meyer; Robert, Zachery and Michelle Burgess; brother, Douglas (Lori) Ballash.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Colletta and David M. Haas.

Her Farewell…Carol’s family and friends will gather on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 11:00AM until the time of her Community Farewell at 12:00PM, at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, 2884 E.
