Her Legacy… Jeanne Carol Pokryfky, Age, 78 passed away December 8, 2019.  She was born on March 20, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to Norman and Elma (Erickson) Gunyon. Jeanne married the love of her life, Mark Pokryfky, on May 18, 1973 in Detroit, Michigan.  Jeanne worked in retail at Target and waitressed for many years.  She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church.  Jeanne enjoyed the open road of riding motorcycles and loved animals.  Jeanne will be missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Her Family… Jeanne will be missed by her husband Mark, son Edward M. (Lynn) Pokryfky, six grandchildren; Edward A. (Erin) Pokryfky, Jim (Rylee) Pokryfky, Michael (Laura) Pokryfky, Amanda (Greg)  Garner, Ean (Christine) Pokryfky and Sydney Pokryfky, twelve great-grandchildren; Josh, Nick, Adrian, Christina, Brooklyn (Maddie), Heaven, Trinity, Jack, Henry, Stella, Riley and Elijah.  She is preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Stephanie Pokryfky and brother Joseph Gunyou.

Her Farewell… Jeanne’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Braun Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church – 8743 U.S. 12, Brooklyn on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 11:00 am where she will lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Mass.    Fr. Tom Helfrich, OSFS will serve as celebrant with burial following at St. Joseph Shrine Cemetery.
