Her Legacy… Phyllis ‘Kay’ Newlands, age 92, passed away December 27, 2019.  She was born February 15, 1927 in Saginaw MI to Kenneth and Nelle (Bodkin) Russell.  She married the love of her life, Robert Newlands, and he preceded her in death in 2008.  Kay worked in retail and sales for many years.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.  She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Her Family… Kay will be missed by her children, Mark  (Denise) Newlands, Larry (Blanca) Newlands, Pamela (Randy) Rice; grandchildren, Jamie, Scott (Sarah) and Richard(Lindsay); great grandchildren, Isabella, Cameron, Reid and Owen; with additional grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren in the Houston area.  She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Tom. The family would also like to thank everyone at Alara Hospice for their wonderful care of Kay.

Her Farewell…. Kay’s family and friends will gather on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Community Farewell will be Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 11:00AM, with gathering beginning at 10AM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel.
