Her Legacy… Silk June LaParry-Townsend, 73, passed away November 18, 2019.  She was born on July 25, 1946, in West Virginia to Benny Brunty and Alice (Avis) Brunty. Silk married the love of her life, Ken Townsend in the state of Ohio and was married for 33 wonderful years. She will be remembered as being the nicest woman anyone has ever known.  She was caring and loving to whoever she met, especially children.  Silk loved to help people.  She wanted to continue her help and donated her body to University of Michigan to help others in need.  The days of spending time with the love of her life, Ken, was her favorite thing to do and looked forward to their time up north together.  She also got much joy out of animals and gave them as much love as she could.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Her Family… Silk will be missed by her children, Koleen (Don Clark) LaParry, Robert Keith Alder, and Dan Townsend; and by her spoiled dog, Dionysus. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ken Townsend who passed in 2012.
