Zaharee, William S. ‘Bill’

His Legacy… William S. Zaharee, age 84, passed away January 9, 2020.  He was born on March 10, 1935, in Hastings, MI to Samuel W. and Mary (Nancy) Hanks Zaharee. William married the love of his life, Sharon Kay Henry, on June 16, 1956, in Lancaster, Ohio. She preceded him in death April 1, 2017.  Bill is a U of M Alumni, member of the Dexter United Methodist Church and the IEEE. He was a member of the National Model A and Livingston County Model A Clubs for many years.  He also served on the National Ski Patrol for Schuss Mountain for over 50 years volunteering his time during the Special Olympics. Bill will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.

His Family… Bill will be missed by his children, Michael (Linda) Zaharee, Eric (Marcie) Zaharee and Karen (Jeff Feroce) Zaharee; grandchildren, Kelly Zaharee, Alison Zaharee, David (Morgan) Zaharee, Joseph Plaisance (Brandy Wells),  Chantille (Jeremy) Wooten; and great grandchild Phoenix Wooten. He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon and his parents.

His Farewell… Bill’s family and friends will gather on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 10:00AM until the time of his Community Farewell at 11:00AM at Dexter United Methodist Church. Luncheon will follow the service. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
