His Legacy… Alan Victor Lapczynski, passed away March 20, 2020. He was born on December 4, 1945 in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late Victor Lapczynski and Eleanor (Polczynski) Lapczynski. Alan married the love of his life, Donnamarie, on May 1, 1982 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and son. Alan was a Certified Public Accountant for over 45 years, most recently retired from YEO & YEO, where he managed the Ann Arbor branch. Alan had a passion for playing jazz piano and drums, and loved spending time with his family. His presence at Sunday brunch at the lake and making music with his children will be forever missed.

His Family… Alan is survived by his wife, Donnamarie; his children, Philip (Liz May), Peter (Lisa), Genevieve (Tyler) Simon, Josephine (Michael Herman), Paul, Maryanna (Tim) Clairmont, Veronica; and his grandchildren Lizzy and Nathan. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Philip.

His Farewell… A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Pinckney. A public memorial Mass, burial and reception will be scheduled as soon as possible in the future. Memorial contributions are suggested to St Mary Catholic Church, Pinckney (general fund) or may be given directly to the family for future designation.
