His Legacy… Albert Leonard Pfeiffer, age 83, passed away March 20, 2021. He was born on August 30, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio to Theodore Pfeiffer and Elizabeth (Kost) Pfeiffer. Cooking was important to his family growing up. Beginning at a very young age, Al often punched dough on Saturday mornings. He was a Mess Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and Desert Storm. Al married the love of his life, Sandra Jean Matlock, on September 16, 1989 in Plymouth, MI. Al was part of the National Guard for 20 years. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 23 years as an electrical design engineer. In his spare time, Al liked hunting and gardening. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Al will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His Family… Al leaves behind his wife, Sandra Jean; children, Victoria Pfeiffer, Albert R. (Tina) Pfeiffer, Dawn (Jeff) Vernon, Julianne Holmes, Allison (Fred) Henrick; and grandchildren, Cynthia, Kyle, Ryan, Grant, April, Julie, Michael, and Stephen. He is also survived by brother, Peter (Patricia); and sisters-in-law, Roberta Owens and Kathy Pfeiffer. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Martin, William, and Theodore.
His Farewell… Al’s family and friends will gather on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 3-8PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. His Community Farewell will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at (12:30PM Gathering) 1PM with a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 9565 Musch Road, Brighton, Michigan. Fr. John Rocus will serve as celebrant. Al will be laid to rest at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
