Her Legacy… Alice Hodges, 86, passed away June 25, 2020. She was born on January 31, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan to John and Mabel (Cross) Casper. She will be remembered as a devoted Christian, a loving mother, caring grandmother, and cherished great grandmother. Alice had a long career as a stenographer working for law enforcement. After retirement, she spent her time walking, running, and dancing for fitness. For 39 years, Alice and her boyfriend Gene Robertson were companions, who loved to go on exciting vacations together. For many years, Alice served as a Sunday School teacher at a Baptist church. She is going to be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her Family… Alice will be missed by her children, Sharon (Marc) Kalis, Trudy (Gary) McCraw, Denise Munguia; brother, Andy Kasperian; 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Casper, Mabel Casper; sons, Robert Hodges, Troy Hodges; sister, Nancy Elliot; half-siblings, Elizabeth, and Radcliff.
Her Farewell… Alice’s family and friends will gather Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel in Howell from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Mercy Hospice, or to the National Alzheimer’s Association.
