Alice (Smulligan) Nakamura

Alice (Smulligan) Nakamura passed away Thursday April 2, 2026, in Ann Arbor, MI. She was born September 23, 1947, in Plainfield, NJ. She is survived by Scott Nakamura, her husband of 50 years, her two sons Joshua and Christopher, and her 3 cats. She was predeceased by her father George Smulligan and mother Josephine Smulligan (Warner). She studied at Pennsylvania State University and worked in several areas before starting her family. Alice was a loving and dedicated wife and mother, the center of our family life, whose legacy lives on in her family. The family is mourning privately, and no public memorial service is planned. Mourners are encouraged to donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers.
