His Legacy… Andrew Kirtos, 101, passed away November 11, 2023.  He was born on November 12, 1921, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to Michael and Helen Kirtos. Andrew graduated in 1940 from South Union High School in Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the Navy and proudly served on the USS Young Destroyer during World War 2. Andrew married the love of his life, Gertrude “Trudy” Sofranko, in July of 1945.  He will be remembered an avid western movie lover who especially liked the John Wayne movies. He liked watching football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and U of M games. Andrew enjoyed spending his retirement years going out to eat with his wife, Trudy and occasionally going gambling at the casino in Mt. Pleasant.  He also liked to sit in garage and talk to people. Andrew was a member of the VFW in Farmington and Howell.

His Family… Andrew will be missed by his Son, Richard Kirtos and his caregiver, Lynn Tomlin. He is preceded in death by his parents Michael and Helen Kirtos; his wife, Trudy Kirtos; his daughter, Diane Meyers and his 10 brothers and sisters.
