Her Legacy… Mary Angela Christie (Angie), 96, passed away March 26, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on July 1, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan to Fredrick Daum and Helen (Thoman) Daum. Angela married the love of her life, Douglas Christie, on May 13, 1950, in Detroit, MI.
Angela will be missed by her children, Stuart Christie, Colleen Huntsman, Sally (Patrick Smith) Bender, Nora (Gary) Quillam, Christopher (Cathy) Christie, Carrie (John) Cutajar, siblings; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and other family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Christie; parents, Frederick and Helen Daum; granddaughter, Christie Range, and Daughter in Law Barbara Christie and Son in Law Kevin Huntsman.
Angela and Douglas Christie were the best mom and dad any child could ever hope for. Words cannot express the love and laughter that rang from this family from the very beginning to the very end. This love and strong family ties will continue well into the future with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
We cannot thank our Heavenly Father enough for allowing us the privilege of being part of this great family that was started so long ago. How can we in these few short words express the impact our parents had on this family and all those that knew them. Without any regrets at her passing, we look forward to seeing them again.
Her Farewell… A Celebration of Angela’s life and legacy will be planned during warmer weather with family and friends. Please leave a message of comfort for Angela’s family at 1-877-231-7900 or sign her guestbook at www.borekjennings.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Arbor Hospice who provided excellent service during Angela’s final weeks.
