Anthony Micallef Obituary

His Legacy… Anthony Saverino Micallef, 95, passed away August 3, 2026.  He was born on May 13, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph and Julia (Castelletti) Micallef. Anthony will be remembered as a proud veteran of the United States Army, he honorably served his country from 1952 to 1957, attaining the rank of Sergeant. His years of military service instilled in him the discipline, integrity, and strength of character that would guide him throughout the rest of his life. Following his military service, he began a long and successful career with Ford Motor Company, where he worked faithfully for 38 years. Through dedication and perseverance, he built a career that allowed him to provide for his family, retiring at the young age of 58 after nearly four decades of loyal service. Of all the accomplishments in his life, none meant more to him than being a father. Raising three children on his own, he devoted himself completely to their well-being, always putting their needs ahead of his own. His children were his greatest source of pride, and he worked tirelessly to ensure they had every opportunity to succeed. His unconditional love, sacrifice, and steadfast support shaped the lives of those he loved most. When he wasn't working or spending time with his family, he found joy in the simple pleasure of riding his bicycle. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His Family… Anthony will be missed by his children; Gordon (Terri) Micallef, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Langle and Susan (Wayne) Pringle; grandchildren Lauren Gayner, Candice Smith, Anthony Micallef, Caitlin Micallef, Bryan Zochowski, Kyle Zochowski, Wesley Pringle and Kelley Sonnenberg; Great grandchildren; Lucas Gayner, Matthew Gayner, Camden Smith, Delilah Micallef, Lincoln Zochowski and Penny Zochowski.
