Her Legacy… Arlene Ann Wittmer, 82, passed away November 2, 2025. She was born on March 23, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan to George Pickwick and Jeannie (Krasowski) Pickwick. Arlene married the love of her life, Donald Wittmer, on October 2, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan.

Her Purpose… Arlene proudly received her Bachelors and masters from Wayne State University in Education and Educational Leadership. She was a lifelong educator in the Detroit Public Schools serving both as a teacher and an administrator. She loved what she did. She touched many lives over her 40-year career.

Her Family… Arlene will be missed by her children, Linda (Mark) Hein, Colin (Karen) Wittmer, Shaun (Jenell) Wittmer; grandchildren, Brenden Hein, Conner Hein, Kiersten Hein, Avery Wittmer, Marin Wittmer, Nolan Wittmer, Sarah Wittmer, Megan Wittmer and Erik Wittmer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wittmer; parents, George and Jeannie Pickwick; sisters, Valerie Gutt and Diane Pickwick.

Her Farewell… Arlene’s family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 1:00PM (12:30PM gathering), at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 N. Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI. Fr. Tom Belczak will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Guardian Angels School, 521 East 14 Mile Road, Clawson, MI, 48017.
