Age 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 20th, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 20th, 1939, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, youngest son of Sylvester and Maryann Kranz. Arnold married the love of his life Helga (Koch) Kranz while serving in the U.S. Army in New Ulm, Germany, 1962. Arnold was very patriotic, proudly served his country, and had a U.S. flag on just about everything he owned. He and Helga enjoyed traveling, dancing, and showing and driving their pristine 1963 Chevrolet Impala. Arnold was a great family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a true gentleman and servant, often spending time giving to others by volunteering at his local church and senior center. He will be greatly missed by his family, Helga, wife of 57 years, son; Bernard (Jane) Kranz, daughter; Susan Kranz, and grandchildren; Holley, Noah, Elvis, and Sierra, and all those who knew and loved him.
Arnold’s family and friends will gather Monday, November 25, 2019 from 2:00-8:00pm (6:00pm rosary) at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, HAMBURG CHAPEL. His Community Farewell will be held on November 26, 2019 at 11:00am (10:00am gathering) for a Mass of Christian Burial at Old St. Patrick Church, 5671 Whitmore Lake Road, Ann Arbor, MI. Father Tom Wasilewski will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Old St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
