Her Legacy… Barbara Ann Williams, 82, passed away February 7, 2025.  She was born on February 1, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan to James Hornbrook and Eleanor (Clark) Hornbrook. Barbara graduated from Cody High School in Detroit in 1961. She was a member of the swim team and won many awards for her swimming skills. Barbara enjoyed playing tennis, volleyball and bowling in her younger years. Barbara married the love of her life, Richard Williams on May 8th of 1965, in Livonia, Michigan, after meeting him at Grace and Hornbrook, where she worked as a secretary. In 1978, she became a co-owner of Hanlo Gages, a manufacturing company and in 1991, she became sole owner where she then retired in 2015. Her and Richard resided in Hamburg until 1970, and then spent 18 years in Novi, before moving to Plymouth, where she lived for the rest of her life. Barbara and Richard retained their original home in Hamburg and used it as a cottage on Ore Lake where they loved swimming, boating and entertaining guests. She was very social and could talk for hours. Barbara also enjoyed going to Vegas, playing cards, board games, crossword puzzles and was a harness racing enthusiast. Barbara was a joy to know and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.  

Her Family… Barbara will be missed by her children, Richard Williams Jr., Michael (Lesley) Williams; siblings, Peggy (Ralph) Mulligan, James Hornbrook Jr.; grandchildren, Cora Jane Williams, Annie Mae Williams; nieces, Dawn (Todd) Alsobrooks, Georgia Hornbrook, Jamie (John) Sinclair; nephews, Gene (Sharon) Allen, Robert Garbacz Jr., James Hornbrook III (Linsey); and numerous other family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Williams Sr.; parents, James and Eleanor Hornbrook; and sisters, Sherry Hornbrook, and Cynthia (Hill) Ferguson.  

Her Farewell… Barbara’s family and friends will gather Friday, February 21, 2025, from 4:00PM-8:00PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Community Farewell will be held on Saturday, February 22, at 11:00AM (10AM gathering), at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Father Jim Pashturro will serve as celebrant.
