Her Legacy…Barbara Beres, 83, passed away, May 9, 2021.  Barb was born in Louisville, KY on March 28, 1938 to Sylvester Lee and Martha Lee (Beading) Humphrey. She married Larry Beres and they spent 53 wonderful years together.  Barb was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the 59’ers Club.  She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and loved to watch soap operas and sports.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Her Family…Barb will be missed by her husband, Larry; children, Martha (Mark) Stipsits, Michael (Jennifer) Beres, Laura (David) Bernard, Dennis (Becky) Bowen and David (Missy) Bowen; 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; brother Sylvester Humphrey, and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Martha, and sister Martha Yadon.

Her Farewell…Barb’s family and friends will gather on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 2:00-8:00PM with a rosary at 7pm, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel, Howell, MI.  Barb’s Community Farewell will be Friday, May 14, with her Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00AM (gathering at 10AM) at St. John Catholic Church, Howell, MI.  Father Francis George will serve as celebrant.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. John Catholic Church.  Please leave a message of comfort to Barb’s  family by calling 1.877.231.7900 or sign the guestbook at borekjennings.com
