Her Legacy… Barbara Ann Kraning, 90, passed away November 9, 2025.  She was born on November 30, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert Zimmerman and Gertrude (LeFevre) Zimmerman. Barbara married the love of her life, Kenneth Kraning, on February 2, 1957, in Dearborn, Michigan. Barbara had a big personality and loved to entertain and host parties. She kept a beautiful garden and had a meticulous lawn. Barbara loved living on Portage Lake and vacationing at her home in Florida. She loved golf and was a devoted Detroit Lions fan. Barbara was incredibly caring and adored her grandchildren. She was very involved in their lives and activities, always showing up to their sports events, even if it was freezing cold outside. Barbara was dearly loved by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.

Her Family… Barbara will be missed by her husband, Kenneth Kraning; her children, Kathy ( Allan Knott) Muller, Steve (Beverly) Kraning, Scott (Christina) Kraning; brother, Robert (Darlene) Zimmerman; grandchildren, David (Erica), Daniel (Alexsandra), Kelly (Troy), Keith (Mary), Madison (Todd), Cameron (Christopher); great-grandchildren, Macie, David, Kylie, Cole, Xavier, Finn; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gertrude Zimmerman; sister, Marilyn Banish; and son-in-law, David Muller.

Her Farewell… Barbara’s family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00AM (9AM gathering),  at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6805 Mast Rd, Dexter, Michigan. Father Brendan Walsh will serve as presider. Memorial contributions are suggested to Compassionate Care Hospice.
