Her Legacy… Barbara Ann Petish, 77, passed away November 27, 2021.  She was born on December 18, 1943 in Wayne, Michigan to Charles Mallard and Mary (Dvorsky) Mallard. Barbara married the love of her life, James Petish on October 20, 1984 in Westland, Michigan. Her family lovingly nicknamed her “Bobbie” and her friends “Mrs. P.” Barbara was a lifelong bowler. She loved entertaining and bringing everyone together. She hosted many family holidays on the lake and enjoyed decorating Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. She was very involved in her boys’ activities growing up, including being a Cub Scout den mother. She took pride in never missing any of her grandchildren’s events.  She was a devoted Detroit Tiger’s fan.  Barbara enjoyed traveling to Vegas with her husband James, reading, and crocheting. She loved taking sunset cruises on her pontoon boat. Barbara was an absolute joy to know and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Her Family… Barbara will be missed by her husband, James Petish; her Children, David(Dominique)Hausch, Matthew(Anne)Hausch; Step-children, James H. Petish II, Cynthia(Dave)Lillie; Grandchildren, Madison(Kyle), Lindsey, Austin, Luke, Jacob, John(Samantha); Sister-in-law, Donna Mallard.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Mallard and her brother, Charles Mallard.

 

Her Farewell… Barbara’s family and friends will gather Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 2:00-8:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Community Farewell will be held on December 3, 2021 at 10:30 (9:30am gathering) for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Church, 711 Rickett Road, Brighton, Michigan 48116.  Father Miguel Colunga will serve as celebrant.
