Her Legacy…  Barbara Marie Russell, age 80, passed away May 20, 2023.  She was born on May 31, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to Walter and Barbara (Ambrus) Banas.  Barbara married Donald Russell in August of 1968, in Westland, Michigan. She will be remembered as a quiet, hard-working lady with a big heart, especially for children. Barbara was an elementary school teacher for over 40 years, and was devoted to her students. She loved finding arts and crafts to do with them, and passed on her love for theater, musicals, and figure skating. She was always active, and enjoyed taking on various projects to beautify the things around her. Barbara had a special love for roses.  She was a loving wife and a wonderful sister, and will be greatly missed.

Her Family…  Barbara will be missed by her siblings, Walt Banas and Nancy Anne Banas; sister in-law, Theresa Banas; and her nephews, John Jr. and Jason Banas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Russell, her brother, John Banas, and her parents, Walter and Barbara Banas.
