Her Legacy… Barbara Wojcik, 80, passed away January 10, 2025. She was born on April 30, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan to Randolph Weaver and Mary (Furbee) Weaver. Barbara married the love of her life, David Wojcik, on December 17, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan. In her early days she worked as an Airline Stewardess for TWA before going to work in purchasing for General Motors Company and then on to the real-estate business. She will be remembered as a beam of sunshine who had a gift for making those around her feel special. Barbara was kind, friendly, and had a sweet personality with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed being socially active, going out with friends on weekends and still finding time to spend quality time with her family, teaching them to cook, and showing compassion for others. Barbara had a kind, caring heart and a great love for life and those that shared it with her. She loved music and played piano and violin, and found beauty and peace in flower gardening and watching the birds. All who knew her will miss her great faith, love for others and love for laughter.
Her Family… Barbara will be missed by her children, Pamela (Richard) Whittaker, Heather Wojcik, Louise (Michael) Stiffler; sister, Donna Machleit; sister-in-law, Patrice (Joseph) Pendergast, Marietta (Charles) Geisler; brother-in-law, Lawrence Senkowski; grandchildren, Alyssa Whittaker, Evan Whittaker, Megan Bolton, Michael Stiffler Jr., Morgan Russell; great grandchildren, Kailey, Julianna, Nora, Jax, Rosalie, Aleksander, Roman; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, David Wojcik; her son, Michael Wojcik; brother, Robert Weaver; sister-in-law, Michaeline Senkowski and brother-in-law, Ralph Machleit and her aforementioned parents.
Her Farewell… Barbara’s family and friends will gather from 2:00-5:00pm, on Saturday, January 18, 2025 until the time of her Community Farewell Service at 5:00 PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel in Howell, Michigan. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
