His Legacy… Benjamin Lewis Masters Sr., 87, passed away on March 10, 2025.  He was born on April 30, 1937, in New Cumberland, West Virginia to Lewis Benjamin Masters and Margaret (Murray) Masters. Ben proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. While serving, it was discovered that he could hold his breath underwater for 21 minutes; because of this, he was chosen for many missions. Ben enjoyed hunting and fishing; he especially liked catching bass and catfish. He was a wonderful family man and always supported his children in their sports and activities. Ben was very God oriented, his faith was incredibly important to him. Ben was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

His Family… Ben will be missed by his children, Tim (Sue) Masters, Karen (Frank) McCormick, Benjamin Lewis Masters Jr.; siblings, Raymond Masters, Victoria Emerick, Pam Masters; grandchildren, Michelle Masters, Candice McCormick, Mikey Masters, Benjamin Lewis Masters III, Kayla Masters, Carrie Masters, Anna (Tim) Capling, Peter Masters, Emily (Gary) Van Allen, Joel Masters, Jamie Smith; great-grandchildren, Deborah, Avery, Korrina, Alaina, Hailie, Hunter, Hannah, Caroline, Audrey, Joshua, Abigail, and Blake. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Masters; parents, Lewis and Margaret Masters; son, Mike Masters; brother, Bill Masters; and sisters, Mary Fish, Gail Masters, and Linda Miller.

His Farewell… Ben’s family and friends will gather Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 10AM-12PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. His Community Farewell will follow at 12:00PM. Pastor Ken Greble will serve as celebrant.
