Her Legacy… Betty Jane Mlinek, age 95, passed away at her home on July 5, 2021. She was born on February 19, 1926 in Detroit, MI to Anna Frish. Betty married the love of her life, Frank Mlinek on November 24, 1945 in Detroit, MI. She was employed for Crowleys and Sears until her retirement in 1991. Betty loved spending time with her family and was a long time member of Sokol Detroit. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her Family… Betty leaves behind her children, Nancy (John) Wheeler, Susan (David) Schrader, Frank (Patrice) Mlinek III, Brett (Susan) Mlinek; 7 grandchildren; Jessica, Erik, Derrick, Danielle, Kyle, Holden, Fawne; three great grandchildren, BrieAnna, Blake, Sophia and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Frank.

Her Farewell… Betty’s family and friends will gather on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 4-8PM with a rosary at 6PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Community Farewell will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at (10AM Gathering) 11AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 9565 Musch Road, Brighton, MI. Fr. John Rocus will serve as celebrant. She will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre section 13-G crypt B-22 in Southfield, MI. Memorial contributions are suggested to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Livingston County Humane Society or Sokol Detroit.
