Bill Lon Carpenter

His Legacy… Edward Lon Carpenter, age 63, passed away January 7, 2023. He was born on November 23, 1959 in Howell, MI to Thurman and Shirley (Elgie) Carpenter. Bill married Doreen  on April 6, 2013 in Brighton, MI. He was a Detroit Tigers fan. Bill was a pastor for many years at Prayer Tower, Liberty of Praise, and most recently, Faith Temple. He was an avid reader of Christian books. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed blessing people by providing to those in need. He was known by some as being a communications specialist. Bill liked to continue sending cards and calling people that he knew from prior churches that he pastored at. He will be remembered for his caring and giving nature, being very social, and his sense of humor. Bill will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  

His Family… Bill leaves behind his wife, Doreen; daughters, Kaleena and Rozanna; granddaughter, Jenna. He is also survived by siblings, Sue (Bill), Jeff, and twin brother, Edwin (Jacquelyn). He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Loretta (Eddie).

His Farewell… Bill’s Community Farewell will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel with a gathering beginning at 11AM until the time of service. Pastor Mark Iannone and Pastor Jerry Fox will serve as Celebrants.
