His Legacy… Brian Robert Moll, 72, passed away November 23, 2021. He was born on October 20, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan to Robert Moll and Jeanne (Reaume) Moll. Brian graduated from Denby High School in Detroit Public Schools, where he was named city-wide swimmer of the year, and was a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education majoring in PE. While in college, he was a member of the EMU four-times national championship swim team, earning all-American honors. Brian was a reflective, easy-going, levelheaded, and authentic person who was a nature enthusiast. He was an avid reader of non-fiction books and articles about the natural world. He loved all animals, especially dogs. Brian also enjoyed hand-painting designs on canoe paddles and playing water polo. Most of all, Brian loved canoeing. No matter what time or season, if he came across a put-in, he would take his canoe off his car rack and go for a paddle. Brian will be remembered as a loving brother, cousin, nephew, and friend. In the words of his friends, “The world has lost a very special person.”
His Family… Brian will be missed by his sister, Barbara Moll; Aunt Lou Etta; many cousins, and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
His Farewell… Brian’s family and friends will gather on Friday December 3, 2021, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. A Community Farewell Service will follow at 4:00pm. Memorial contributions are suggested to Howell Nature and Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
