Kimball, Bruce
Howell, Michigan
His Legacy… Bruce Craig Kimball, 78, passed away on May 2, 2026. Born on June 18, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of William Kimball Jr. and Ruth (McCarthy) Kimball. He was raised in Livonia, where he later dedicated many years of service working for the City of Livonia. Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. On October 6, 1990, he married his soulmate, Heather Beni, in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He will be remembered for his loving nature and generous spirit. Bruce was always willing to lend a helping hand, even to those he had just met. His sense of humor, warm laughter, and delightfully corny jokes made him a joy to be around. Bruce generously gave his time volunteering with “Let’s Rescue” and Bountiful Harvest Food Pantry. He enjoyed playing golf, baseball, gardening and walking his faithful dog, Lilly, taking her everywhere he went. Bruce had a deep love of reading, especially history, and in his later years discovered a passion for cooking, often delighting others with new recipes that never failed to impress.
His Family… Bruce will be missed by his loving wife, Heather; his children, Stephen (Sarah) Kimball, Jon (Nita) Pettibone; brother, Dale Kimball; grandchild, Blake; Mothers in law, Nancy Beni and Leora Bohl; along with many loving brothers in law and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Kimball.
His Farewell… Bruce’s family and friends will gather 10:00AM, until the time of his Community Farewell Service at 11:30AM on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel in Howell, Michigan.
