Her Legacy… Camille Elizabeth Hutchinson, 75, passed away July 19, 2026. She was born on March 21, 1951, in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Hazen Smith and Betty (Underwood) Smith. Camille married Ralph Hutchinson, on September 28, 1991, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Camille was very active in the church that she grew up in, Forest Ave Baptist Church in Ypsilanti. She was a gifted musician, offering her talent on the organ and piano for church services. She was also accomplished on the guitar, flute and accordion. Camille enjoyed rollerblading and played hockey in the first women’s league in Ann Arbor, the Steel Magnolias. She had a deep love of gardening, or as she called it “digging in the dirt”. Camille was very devoted to her family and lovingly cared for her mother for years. Camille was a joy to know and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her Family… Camille will be missed by her husband, Ralph Hutchinson; her son, Michael Johanson; stepchildren, Jennifer (Naaman) Ford, Steven (Jackie) Hutchinson; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hazen and Betty Smith; sister, Sharon Rollins; and brother, Michael Smith.
