Carmella Lockwood

Her Legacy… Carmella Lockwood, 80, passed away on July 6, 2022.  She was born on May 27, 1942, in Mechanicville, New York to Rocco Fusco and Mary Antoinette Simiele. Carmella married the love of her life, John Lockwood, on June 25, 1966, in Mechanicville, New York. She will be remembered as a caring, fun-loving, giving, witty, funny and full-of-life woman who was the life of the party. Her little phrases are etched in the minds and hearts of her family and friends forever. No one made you feel more needed, more loved, or more understood than “Bucky,” as some called her.  With a servant’s heart and strong faith in God, Carmella was committed to give and serve others. During her working years, she was a dental assistant, a travel assistant, ran a Dairy Queen store, and served as a substance abuse counselor.  She kept a full schedule of travel and gathering with family, and her “family” extended beyond blood - even her kids’ friends called her “mom.”

Her Family… Carmella will be missed by her husband John; her children, Greg (Lynda) Lockwood, Tony (Jennifer) Lockwood; her sister Louise Stagliano; grandchildren Chase, Savannah, Cameron, Chole, Sophia, Hope and Johnny; her niece Mary Beth (Paul) Vannucci, and Nephew David Stagliano. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Frank Stagliano.

Her Farewell… Carmella’s family and friends will gather at 10 AM on Friday, September 16 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel in Howell, Michigan.  Her Community Farewell will be at 11 AM on Friday, September 16, 2022  at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude or the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Please leave a message of comfort for Carmella’s family at 1-877-231-7900, or sign her guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
