Carol Labun

Her Legacy… Carol Labun, 94, passed away July 10, 2020.  She was born on August 11, 1925, in Dundee, Michigan to Doyle F. Cilley and Florence Ann (Boor) Cilley. Carol married the love of her life, Donald Labun, on June 19, 1947 in Deerfield, Michigan. Carol will be remembered by all of her colleagues for her long career at the University of Michigan in the Admissions office. She also belonged to the Altar Society at St. Irene’s Catholic Church. On occasion, Carol would help out at two of her and her husband’s businesses, the Village Flower & Gift and the Dee-R-Cee Salon.

Her Family… Carol will be missed by her daughter, Debra Labun (Charles Joseph) Kirk; twin sister, Clara Selfe;  grandchildren Krista (Joshua) Pressey, Julie Anne (Matthew) Barron, Sarah (Jonathan) Hill and 9 Great Grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by Husband Donald Labun, sister May Cogswell, brother, Francis Cilley, sisters, Grace Heininger, Margaret Hoops.

Her Farewell… Carol’s family and friends will gather on July 13, 2020 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm with Rosary at 7:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel in Howell. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 14, 2020 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 11:00am. Fr. Francis George will serve as celebrant.
