Her Legacy… Ceceile Rosemary Brown, 85, passed away February 20, 2025. She was born on November 20, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan to Walter Jurewicz and Angeline (Dozbush) Jurewicz. Ceceile married the love of her life, Thomas Brown, on May 6, 1967, in Detroit, Michigan. She will be remembered as an active parishioner at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, trips to the casino and shopping. Ceceile adored her grandchildren and feeding others. She also cared deeply for her boston terriers and pugs. Ceceile was a joy to know and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Her Family… Ceceile will be missed by her children, Susan (Brian) LeVasseur and Sandra (Tim) McCotter; grandchildren; Zachary (Visa) Brown, Adrienne (Chris) Candela, Angeline LeVasseur, Clarissa (Christian) Lees, Mitchell LeVasseur, Trey LeVasseur, Valen LeVasseur, Zabrina LeVasseur, Nicklas LeVasseur, Jacquelyn LeVasseur, Jordan LeVasseur, Bridgette McCotter, Evie McCotter, Ethan McCotter and three great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Brown; son, George Brown; sisters; Dorothy Fehner, Dolly Craig, and parents Walter Jurewicz and Angeline (Dozbush) Jurewicz.
Her Farewell… Ceceile’s family and friends will gather Monday, February 24, 2025 5:00PM-8:00PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00AM (10AM gathering), at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church. Father Jonathan Perrotta will serve as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
