Her Legacy… Cecille Anne Laudenslager, 81, passed away December 27, 2021. She was born March 12, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan to John and Myrtle (Smith) Negria. Cecille married the love of her life, Leroy Laudenslager, on November 12, 1960 in Inkster, Michigan. She and Leroy first met at Midwest Market in Inkster, where they both worked. She being a cashier and Leroy being a good looking stock boy! It was love at first site. Cecille was an avid book reader, loved her birds, loved her bible study classes at Shalom Lutheran Church. She cherished her children, grandchildren and her crazy dog Harvey. When they were young, she drove twice a week from Lakeland to Troy just to babysit her grandkids. Cecille was very active, playing golf, going bowling, playing Euchre and Scrabble with friends. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family. She was the matriarch and the glue that held her family together. Cecille’s home was the gathering place for all holidays, especially Christmas. She loved being outdoors on the pontoon boat on Little Island Lake.
Her Family… Cecille will be missed by her sons, Scott (Sandy) Laudenslager, Dennis (Patricia) Laudenslager; sisters, Sharon McAlister and Nancy (Eddie) Rogers; Grandchildren, Bret, Jillian, Mitchell and Angela; Great Grandchildren, Nicole and Karina along with many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Sister-in-Law, Karen Kluwe and Brother-in-Law, Larry Laudenslager. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Laudenslager, her parents, John and Myrtle Negria and her baby sister, Jackie.
Her Farewell… Cecille’s family and friends will gather on December 30, 2021 at 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel in Howell, Michigan. Her Community Farewell will be held on December 31, 2021 at 11:00am (gathering at 10:00am) at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel in Howell, Michigan Pastor Dan Quagliata will serve as celebrant.
