Celeste Rose (Walsh) Mulcrone

Our beloved Celeste Rose Mulcrone passed away on November 2, 2022, at the age of 103.  She grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and lived her adult life in Detroit and Pinckney Michigan.   
 
She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Frances Brogan Walsh, by her siblings John, Mary Fran and Clare, by her husband of 43 years, John Mulcrone, by her husband of 17 years, Ed Cheesman, and by her stepson Ed Cheesman.   
 
She is survived by her four children: Sister Maureen Mulcrone, RSM, John (Rozanne) Mulcrone, Michael (Betty) Mulcrone, and Mary Ellen (Dennis McWhinnie) Mulcrone, by stepson William (Margaret) Cheesman, and by her grandchildren: Anne, Caroline, Kathleen, Briar, Colleen, and Sean, by nine great-grandchildren, and by many nieces and nephews.   
 
A loving mother and grandmother, Celeste was active at church, and enjoyed gardening and visiting with friends.  She loved music, was a great dancer, baked some of the best pies on the planet, and was a highly skilled bargain shopper.  
 
We will celebrate Celeste’s life with a Mass of Resurrection on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11:00AM (10:00 gathering) at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10601 Dexter-Pinckney Rd., Pinckney, MI 48169. The family requests that you please wear masks to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Parish in Pinckney, and to the Mercy Education Project in Detroit.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Borek Jennings Funeral Home in Pinckney.
