Her Legacy… Cynthia Slane, 71, passed away May 14, 2023.  She was born on February 13, 1952, in Romulus, Michigan to Carl White and Floretta (McPherson) White.  Cynthia had a particularly strong love for animals. She was one of the first breeders of Chinese Shar-Pei dogs in Michigan. For most of her life, she devoted herself to homemaking and raising her three children, Jason, Tommy, and Christy. Cynthia enjoyed the simple things in life, especially her artwork. Her enjoyment with creating beauty spanned from gardening, stone working, to painting. She will be greatly missed.  

Her Family…  Cynthia will be missed by her children, Jason Porter (Michelle); Tommy Porter (Bernadette), and Christy Porter (Mike); brother, Dan (Joellen); 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; nephew, Adam; and many aunts and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother, Floretta McPherson, and step-father, Chuck Kadau.
