His Legacy… Daniel Patrick Bartolucci, 84, passed away January 10, 2021. He was born on March 17, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph Bartolucci and Maria (Rossi) Bartolucci. Daniel married the love of his life, Phyllis (Gerlach) Bartolucci, on April 28, 1962, in St. Joseph, Michigan. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Daniel enjoyed joking with his friends and was known for his crazy sense of humor. He loved watching UofM football and was a proud season ticket holder for over 50 years including the Rose Bowl game. Daniel was an avid reader and especially enjoyed American history, WWII history and toured many battlefields. His life was also spent traveling to many exotic places. He traveled to Japan, England, Rio de Janeiro and after retirement, spent a month every year on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. Daniel was also a lover of animals and cared for his two cats, Cassidy and Casey. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them. He will be deeply missed.
His Family… Daniel will be missed by his wife, Phyllis Bartolucci; his children, Sean (Jen) Bartolucci, Brooke (Stephan) Oprsal; grandchildren, Brandon Bartolucci, Ryan Bartolucci, Sophie Oprsal, Avery Oprsal. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Maria Bartolucci; sister, Theodora Del Mariani; brother, Reno Bartolucci; grandson, Gavin Oprsal; nieces, Shari Del Mariani, Rena Jacobs.
His Farewell… Daniel’s family will have a private Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Good Counsel on Friday, January 15, 2021. The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Livingston County in his honor.
