His Legacy… Daniel J. Metro, 77, passed away May 8, 2020. He was born on February 8, 1943, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Paul D. Metro and Dorothy (Harmon) Metro. Daniel married the love of his life, Toni Woodall, on April 29, 1995, in Pinckney, Michigan at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Daniel was a ham radio operator and known as W8ICN, to all his friends from around the world. He had a true passion for amateur radio and also liked to collect and restore them. Daniel also put a lot of time into his family genealogy dating back to the early 1800’s. Being an outdoorsman was very important to him and loved to go deer hunting and pheasant hunting. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, grand children, and great grandchildren. He is going to be deeply missed by all who knew him.
His Family… Daniel will be missed by his children, John J. (Sharon) Metro, Kathleen (Bob) Baker, David E. (Lisa Thorp) Metro, Suzanne M. (Eric) Rice, Kirk D. Metro, McKay A. (Scott) Sundberg; sister, Dianne Yuhas; grandchildren, John, Stephanie, Lee, Emily, Alexis, Samantha, Paige, Megan, Morgan, Adrienne, Camden, Damon; great grandchildren; Aria, Lily; niece, Renee (Dan) Yuhas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Toni (Woodall) Metro, first wife, Mary Louise (Jackson) Metro; parents, Paul and Dorothy Metro; and brother in law, John Yuhas .
His Farewell… Daniel’s Community Farewell will be held privately for his family at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Daniel’s family and friends will gather as soon as health restrictions have been lifted. Memorial contributions are suggested to Livingston County Humane Society.
