David Allan Burton was born June 30th, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to Vincent Burton and Elaine (Trombley) Burton, he was raised in a loving family with 6 brothers (4 of whom are deceased) and 5 sisters. He married the love of his life, Linda (Zelenak) Burton in 1984 and they just celebrated their 37-year anniversary this year. He passed peacefully with loved ones surrounding him on December 28, 2021 at his home. David has been cremated; his wishes were to have no funeral. Due to Covid, the memorial will be shared at a later date. David was preceded in death by his Father Vincent Burton, and four of his six brothers.
David was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in the Vietnam War as a Private E-1 and promoted to Corporal E-4. Medals and Awards received: Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
Member of Local 98 Plumbers Union, David was a Plumber for 30 plus years and certified to install medical grade gas in Hospitals. David was a jack of all trades and could do electrical, plumbing, carpentry and made his family's home a beautiful showcase of craftsmanship, top to bottom.
