David Carl Nitz

His Legacy… David Carl Nitz, age 81, passed away March 6, 2025. He was born on January 13, 1944 in Detroit, MI to Carl and Marjorie Nitz. Dave was married to the love of his life, Chris, for 57 years. He served in the National Guard during the Detroit riots. Dave loved cars. He enjoyed golfing and watching Detroit sports and spending time with his grandkids. Dave will be remembered for his devotion to his wife and the love he had for his grandkids. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

His Family… Dave leaves behind his wife, Chris; sons, Tim (Julie) and Jeff (Julie); and grandchildren, Austin, Evan, Henry, Charlie, Molly, Mitchell, and Adam. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

His Farewell… Dave’s Community Farewell will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 5PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel with a gathering beginning at 2PM until the time of service.
