His Legacy… David Galileo Santos-Medrano, 66, passed away on April 08, 2026. He was born on March 16, 1960, in Tela, Honduras, to Manuel Francisco Santos and Berta Lidia (Medrano) Santos. David married the love of his life, Vilma Varela, on November 03, 1979, in Tela, Honduras.
David will be remembered as a devoted family man who always worked to keep his loved ones close. He enjoyed hosting gatherings throughout the year, making memories filled with laughter, good food, and time together.
David loved soccer and was a dedicated fan of FC Barcelona. He liked working on cars, playing pool, and especially spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them how to play soccer. He also enjoyed listening to Salsa, Merengue, Vallenato, and Punta music.
David was a devoted Catholic who always prayed before meals at family gatherings, asking for blessings over the food and his loved ones. He often shared advice with his family, reminding them, “Do as I say and not as I do,” and “Be wise and be cautious.”
David’s love, guidance, and dedication to his family will always be cherished and remembered.
His Family… David will be missed by his loving spouse, Vilma Santos; his children, Yamileth (Selvin) Ramos, David (Claudia) Santos, and Juan (Adriana) Santos; siblings, Heliberto Santos, Francisco Santos, Irma Santos, and Jorge Santos; grandchildren, Gabriela Santos, Valeria Ramos, David A. Santos, Mia Santos, Gabriel Perez, Gio Ramos, Carlo Ramos, Camila Santos; great grandson, Axel Ramos; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Berta Santos; brother, Ruben Santos; nephew, Franky Santos; niece, Rubenia Ortiz;
His Farewell… David’s family and friends will gather on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes, Fowlerville. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM that evening at the funeral home. The following day, David’s family will gather at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Fr. Brett Ivey will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
