Her Legacy… Delores Stella Walton, 90, passed away January 9, 2021. She was born on May 8, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph Kotlinski and Bernice (Huczek) Kotlinski. Delores married the love of her life, Leonard Stanley Walton, on July 21, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend. Delores was the true meaning of selflessness. She always thought about everyone else’s needs before her own. People who knew her described her as a “Ray of Sunshine” whenever she walked into a room. Delores was very proud of her Polish heritage and made sure she instilled the culture to her grandsons to carry on the traditions. Family, faith and devotion to the Blessed Mother was extremely important to her and her grandsons were the light of her life. When asked what she needed, she replied “I have a song in my head and The Lord in my heart and that is all I need”. Delores will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her Family… Delores will be missed by her daughter, Karen( Dr.David) Burnell; sister, Lillian Komos; grandchildren, David Terrence (Jessica) Burnell, Niko (Abby) Burnell, Joshua(Emily) Burnell; Godson, Joseph Komos; niece, Laura Bilotta; nephews, Donald (Linda) Komos, John (Eve) Komos. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband; Leonard Stanley Walton; parents, Joseph and Bernice Kotlinski.
Her Farewell… Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 11:00am (10:00am gathering) at St. Mary Catholic Church, Pinckney, Michigan with Father John Rocus as celebrant.
