Dixie Loo passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020.
Born January 1, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dixie Loo (nee Leap) was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Dixie met the love of her life, Michael Loo (Mike), married in 1984 and raised two wonderful children. Known for her adventurous spirit, she eagerly explored and lived in numerous places across the United States and the world, including China, India, and Singapore.
A caretaker by nature, Dixie organized the family’s lives, settled them in all new locations and made the house a home. She lived by the famous creed of Benjamin Franklin – “Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today.”
Dixie had a zest for life whether boating on Galveston Bay or riding on the back of Mike’s motorcycle through the hills of South Dakota on the way to Sturgis. She enjoyed making jewelry and sewing. Most recently she created a collection of masks for the family using her sewing skills.
Dixie is survived by her beloved husband of 36+ years, Michael Loo, son Matthew Loo (Jessica) and grandchildren, Makayla and Hailey as well as brother David (Jan) Leap, sister Johanna Leap and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter, Briana Loo.
