Donald Lee Jones

His Legacy… Donald Lee Jones, 70, passed away peacefully in his home on May 29, 2025.  He was born on October 11, 1954, in Peoria, Illinois, to Paul and Donna (Binegar) Jones. Donald married the love of his life, Pamela Anderson, on June 16, 1973, in Galesburg, Illinois. He was known for his creativity, his sense of humor, and the care he showed to the people in his life.

Donald had a passion for woodworking and spent many hours making all kinds of pieces—some to sell, others as gifts, including canes he made for veterans. He also enjoyed foraging for arrowheads and mushrooms and was always working on a project. Whether he was making rings from coins or building a small working cannon, he liked figuring things out and seeing what he could create. Donald also loved deer hunting and looked forward to spending time outdoors during the season. He had a longtime appreciation for motorcycles.

He had a playful, light-hearted demeanor, and he enjoyed teasing and joking with his family. He cared deeply for his friends and loved ones.

Donald will be missed by many and remembered with love.

His Family… Donald will be missed by his loving wife, Pamela Jones; his children, Jennifer Jones and Nicole (Vlad) Vladimerou; and his grandchildren, Joey Jones, Sophia Jones, and Brian Vladimerou. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Donna Jones; brother, Smokey Jones; and sister, Theresa Goudy.
