Restauri Jr., Donald
Donald Anthony Restauri Jr. (Dr. Don) left us too soon on November 11, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mom, Madolyn Clements Restauri, many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his wife: Allison Restauri; children: Rob (Theresa) Restauri, TJ Restauri, Donnie (Asuka) Restauri, Nick (Brittany) Restauri, as well as their mom, Marchelle (Mike) Brotz, and his only daughter Isabella Restauri; grandchildren: Angelo Restauri, Arianna Restauri, Kaydence Restauri and Jack Anthony Restauri; father: Donald Restauri Sr.; sister: Cindy (Dan) Sigmon; father-in-law: Dan Britton; and many cherished cousins, treasured in-laws, invaluable friends, supportive colleagues, wonderful patients and his irreplaceable dental team.
He was born on April 12, 1954 in Ozark, Camp Rucker, Alabama. He attended Cass Tech in Detroit and was accepted into the Air Force Academy and Naval Academy after his early graduation in January of 1972. God chose a different path for him, and he graduated from The University of Michigan Dental School in 1982. Following dental school, Don and his dad did a lot of the work on his office and he was just waiting for his board results so he could start caring for the community. Don cared for the community for 40 years! This past year he merged two passions into one and changed the name of his practice to Dragster Dental—and yes, that is his real dragster on the marquee.
Don became a Master Scuba Diver and enjoyed combat flying online in his spare time. Don enjoyed golf, table tennis, competitive tennis, volleyball, but most of all drag racing! And he went fast: 200+ mph in the quarter mile in 6.5 seconds. Rest easy, Doc! You will be missed.
