Her Legacy… Donice Leota Lewis, 97, passed away February 25, 2023. She was born on December 11, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan to George Jackson and Eleanora (Poole) Jackson. Donice married the love of her life, Gordon Earl Lewis, on January 4, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan. She will be remembered as a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved animals, nature, and feeding the birds. One of her favorite places to go was Kensington Park. She enjoyed the Island Queen boat rides and walking the nature trails. Donice loved to travel and enjoyed the casino, even though she didn’t gamble much. She enjoyed going to dinner with her family and always attended family events. Donice loved listening to Italian music. She had a great sense of humor and a beautiful outlook on life. Donice truly lived her life to the fullest and she will be dearly missed.

Her Family… Donice will be missed by her children, Dianne (Samy) Naggar, Bradley (Gail) Lewis, Renee (Chuck) Badder, Rodney (Laura) Lewis; grandchildren, Michele (Tom) Engberg, Scott Lewis, Albena (Mohammed)Khavary; great-grandchildren, Helena Engberg, Gracie Engberg, Sasha Khavary. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lewis; parents, George and Eleanora Jackson; and siblings, Maxine, Connie and Wayne.
