Her Legacy…Donna Mae Hunt-Stampfler, 81, passed away June 12, 2020. She was born on October 7, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan to John Kerutis and Helen Curtis. Donna married the love of her life, Jerome Stampfler, on October 12, 1985, in Redford, Michigan. She will be remembered as a kind, funny, and sweet woman. She loved her family and liked to pick on and joke with her grandchildren. Donna was very artistic and talented. She painted, did Swedish weaving, and also knit and crocheted blankets, hats and sweaters for Knit for Kids children’s organization. Donna enjoyed golfing, and volunteered at Active Faith in South Lyon. She was a devoted Christian, especially devoted in prayer and the rosary, and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in South Lyon.
Her Family… Donna is survived by her husband Jerome Stampfler; her children, Anne (David) Maahs, the late Patrick Hunt, the late John Hunt, Tim (Diane) Hunt; siblings, Johanna (Earl) Thomas, Barbara Curtis, William (Charlette) Curtis; grandchildren Kevin (Emily), Michael (Jillian), Matthew, Christopher, Patrick, Rose, Jessica (Matt), Denise, Tom, Jon; great grandchildren, Jaxson, Denna, Clover; daughters-in-law, Anita, and Bobbi; and many nieces and nephews and her beloved extended family.
Her Farewell… Donna’s family and friends will gather on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 10:00am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 9565 Musch Road, Brighton, Michigan. Fr. John Rocus will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Filling Homes Foundation (fillinghome.org), N160 St. Rt. 108 Napoleon, OH 43545.
