Her Legacy… Doris Agnes Hardesty, 95, passed away June 7, 2022. She was born on March 12, 1927, in Ypsilanti Michigan, to Leo Heintz and Gertrude (Stacey) Heintz. Doris married the love of her life, Carleton Hardesty, on June 24, 1945, in Salem, Michigan. Doris enjoyed traveling with her husband and in-laws, they spent many trips going up north together. She also loved to travel with her “red hat ladies”. Doris enjoyed doing puzzles, playing card games, crafting and playing with her grandchildren. Doris was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her Family… Doris will be missed by; her son, Kenneth (Joanna) Hardesty; grandchildren, Ken (Renee), Patrick (Jeanne), Ed (Stephanie), Tim, Joe(Julie); twelve great-grandchildren; and dear friend, Carolyn Doncea. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carleton Hardesty; parents, Leo and Gertrude Heintz; daughter, Ruth Hardesty; brothers, Harold Hardesty & Charles Hardesty; and grandson, Garrett Hardesty.
Her Farewell… Doris’s Community Farewell will be held at 12 Noon (Gathering 10AM to 12PM) on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Pas. Randy Weaks will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Promedica Hospice.
