Her Legacy… Dorothy Ann Sobolewski, 78, passed away June 14, 2020.  She was born on March 22, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to Edward Kleczewski and Anna (Trochim) Kleczewski. Dorothy married the love of her life, Eugene Sobolewski, on June 29, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  Dorothy loved spending time reading, doing puzzles, watching soap operas, and gardening. Her days camping and having family bonfires were very special to her.  She was proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed cooking lots of Polish food for friends and family.  Mostly, Dorothy loved spending time with her grandchildren and kids.  She is going to be deeply missed. 

Her Family… Dorothy will be missed by her children, Kenneth (Julie) Sobolewski, Theresa (Jerry) Repovz, Kimberly Bernard and Laura Newton; grandchildren, Brian (Katie) Repovz, Tommy (Morgan) Repovz, Nathan Butka, Emily Sobolewski, Justin Butka, Camden Newton, Sarah Repovz, Kyle Newton. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Sobolewski; parents, Edward and Anna Kleczewski; and brother Edward Kleczewski Jr.

Her Farewell… Dorothy’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 4:00-8:00pm (6:00pm rosary) at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Community Farewell will be held on June 18, 2020 at 11:30Am (10:30 gathering) Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 9565 Musch Rd. Brighton.  Father John Rocus will serve as celebrant.
