His Legacy… Douglas Wayne Beerens, age 74, passed away January 16, 2023.  He was born on April 3, 1948, in Cadillac, Michigan to Harvey Beerens and Joyce (Billet) Beerens.  Douglas married his loving wife, Denise LaDouceur, on September 1, 1996 in Plymouth, Michigan. Douglas served in the Navy/SEABEE and was part of the Brooklyn American Legion post #0315, as well as the Brooklyn Eagles Arie #3689. He enjoyed football, hockey, and playing golf. Most of all, Douglas enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

His Family… Douglas will be missed by his wife Denise; his children, Jason (Lindsay) Beerens, Joseph (Jaclyn), and Heather (Tom) Leon; siblings, Terry Beerens and Sue (George) Colone; grandchildren, Seth, Emily, Mason, Katherine, Allen, Mya, Olin and Berlin; and other family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Joyce Beerens and his sister, Cheryl Morgan.

His Farewell…  Douglas’ family and friends will gather on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 11:00am – 12:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. His Community Farewell will follow at 12:00pm. Pastor Chuck McNeil will serve as celebrant.
