His Legacy… Douglas Paul Evangelista, 70, passed away November 24, 2021.  He was born on March 22, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan to Paul Evangelista and Josephine (DeGeorgeo) Evangelista. Douglas married the love of his life, Vicki Lee (Blocher) Evangelista, on June 2, 1973, at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Detroit, Michigan.   He will be remembered as a beloved son, husband, father and grandfather (Papa).  Douglas enjoyed fishing, doing yard work and spending time with his family.  He loved being in charge and doing things his way.  Douglas had many friends and would do anything for anyone to help out.  He was a lover of animals but most of all his granddaughters came first.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

His Family… Douglas will be missed by his wife, Vicki Evangelista; his children, Jason Douglas Evangelista, Jennifer Dawn (John) Richardson, Heather Marie Evangelista; mother, Josephine Evangelista; siblings, Michael Evangelista, Lori (Dennis) Girard; grandchildren, Sienna Josephine, Annalise Marie and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Evangelista and brother, Jon Evangelista.

His Farewell… Douglas’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 2:00-8:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel in Howell, Michigan. His Community Farewell will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00am (10:00am gathering) with Fr.
