Douglas Lee Linn, 91, passed away September 4, 2025. He was born on March 4, 1934, in Flint, Michigan, to Frank and Mary (Mae Woy) Linn. Douglas married the first love of his life, Clara Wright, on June 28, 1954, in Flint, Michigan. Douglas will be remembered as a man who found joy in life’s passions and shared them generously with others. As a young man, Douglas worked in his father’s restaurant in Flint, where he became an excellent cook. He loved golfing at least twice a week and was a devoted University of Michigan football and basketball fan. A licensed amateur radio operator, he enjoyed communicating through HAMM radio with people all over the world. His lifelong love of aviation brought him great excitement, especially when he had the memorable opportunity to soar in a glider in his 80s. Douglas was a father figure to many beyond his own children, offering guidance, kindness, and care to those fortunate enough to know him. Above all, he deeply loved his family and will be dearly missed.
His Family… Douglas will be missed by his companion, Dawn Easterling; his children, Marty (Kelly) Linn and Kevin (Tracy) Linn; five stepchildren; grandchildren, Kera Linn, Kayde (Andy Frame) Linn, Heather (Joseph Lilly) Linn, and Kevin Linn II; 24 step-grandchildren; great-grandchild, Corbin Lilly; 19 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
